Hi Friends,
I purchased a new DELL Inspiron 580s and installed ubuntu on the first day in dual boot mode along with WINDOWS 7.
It worked well for couple of days. Yesterday I shut the system down and also cut the power supply completely. The next day when I powered the CPU on all I can screen is a cursor blinking and it does not show me the GRUB boot menu :(.
I had to reinstall windows 7 from scratch. Now I am worried if installing UBUNTU will again effect the booting. If this is the case I will have to waste some more timing reinstalling the operating systems.
Can any of you suggest me a way to safely install UBUNTU in dual boot mode on DELL INSPIRON 580s. Safely in the sense that it does not corrupt my boot up process.
