hi there, yesterday i tried to upgrade my 9.10 to 10.04.1 and, while the system was updating packages, i received several bug error regarding the deskbar-applet (almost 25). at a certain point, the system got frozen, and i needed to restart it. after entering in recovery mode and repairng and autoremoving all the packages involved in the update, at the first login attempt the login screen got frozen and neither the keyboard nor the mouse did work. the system only works under failsafeX under recovery mode. what can i do? do you have any suggestion? how could i repeat the installation or repair the packages in other way?
