Hello there.

I have bought an Optima HD66 (http://www.amazon.com/Optoma-HD66-Projector-Great-PlayStation/dp/B002ZWU33U/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1283212329&sr=1-1) projector on amazon that has HDMI port in it.

I want to use such projector to watch movies from my PC. My PC is equipped with an OK video card: ATI HD 3870 (http://reviews.cnet.com/graphics-cards/ati-radeon-hd-3870/1707-8902_7-32745240.html). This card, is equipped with "1.0 x S-video / composite / HDTV component video output - 29 pin combined DVI ( With adapter ) , 1.0 x HDMI - 19 pin HDMI Type A , 2.0 x DVI-I (dual link)". This part confuses me: There are many types of DVI ports and I want to make sure that my projectors communicates well with my PC.

Here is another problem: I need a long cable. DVI-I to HDMI cables are close to 70 bucks. I want to get a DVI-I to HDMI (http://cgi.ebay.com/TV-DVI-I-Dual-Link-Male-HDMI-Male-Converter-Adapter-/320579683947?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa409c66b) converter for 5 bucks and a 50-ft HDMI cable (http://cgi.ebay.com/50FT-Premium-1-3B-HDMI-Cable-15M-PS3-HDTV-1080p-50-/280555646210?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41526b6d02) for like $17. Please tell me if this setup makes sense. As you can see, from the sources and your knowledge, will these communicate well? And of course, any suggestions. Thanks you guys!!!
