Okay, die-hard KDE user here. But due to problems I described in another thread [remote desktop connection issues], I'm doing some experimenting with Gnome. My main question is, how do I change the APPEARANCE of the clock in the panel? I see no way to alter its font, its font's color/size/anything else. Nor do I see a way to get it to display more compactly, like on KDE, i.e., with the time above the date. What's the trick?

From the lack of replies, despite many views, can I safely deduce that the Gnome clock cannot be customized like KDE's can?

You'd have to get Gnome Color Chooser but it would change the font of everything in your panel just saying.
