Hello all, I just recently installed ubuntu 10.04 on my Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 and now i have no sound. (Cannot listen to music, no sound in videos, nothing). I've been doing some research and discovered that this is not uncommon. I noticed a lot of people had the same problem. I have tried many things. I checked alsamixer to make sure the volume levels were not turned down (they were fine), nothing was muted either.

this is what aplay -l returns:

I don't know...I was hoping to get an answer because this is really starting to get on my nerves...I downgraded to ubuntu 9.04 hoping that the sound would work there and the once it was working upgrade to 10.10. But no luck. There is no sound in 9.04 either.
