How to backup encrypted home folder

I have a fresh 10.04 install with encrypted home folder.

I used to backup (8.04-9.10) with sbackup (Simple Backup) to an external harddisk.

But I'm not sure what to do with an encrypted home folder.
A couple of questions:

- Can I still use sbackup, or is there another recommended solution.
- Should I backup the .ecryptfs or the homefolder.
- Will the backup be encrypted?
