choppy sound in Real Player

Hi All,

I am having a problem listening to radio stations, both talk and music, using real player. The sound is choppy, tinny sounding. The voices are full of static. I dont have the same problem with any other sounds or with viewing videos with mplayer. The sound there is fine. I also have a high speed connection. It seems to be a configuration with real player. If anyone has any experience with this, could you share any knowledge. Using Breezy Badger 5,10 and real player 10.0.6.776(gold)

I am having the some problem, but with Gutsy. I have tried (according to google) to slide around the sound bars using kmix, but that doesn't work. Anybody know a fix?

I found a workaround by playing them with MPlayer following the steps here http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/27/how-to-play-rmvb-files-in-ubuntu/
