How can I configure Update Manager ?

I am using lucid I have noticed that if I don't use Update manager the updated are not done, is there a way to configure that when I start ubuntu it will check for update ?

By default update manager checks for updates automatically. Mine informs me of any available updates as soon as I log in.

Check for Updates > Daily in the Settings of Update Manager. Also it can be configured to install updates without confirmation.
