So the computer originally had Windows 2000, I booted right from the disc image of Ubuntu Server installed everything with no issues. I now regret this decision. So I want to take the long route because NONE of the COMMANDS other forums have suggested work like sudo apt get ubuntu-install, I just get "I get "E: Couldn't find package ubuntu-desktop"

How can I start clean by installing Ubuntu Desktop from the DISK...every time I insert the disc image & restart it boots back up to Ubuntu Server & won't boot from the disk.

I am a windows user...Server Edition might as well be in Japanese. Please. Help. A. Sister. Out. for the love of god there has to be a way

If you wanted the desktop adition of Ubuntu, why did you install the server? I'd suggest getting the regular desktop cd and installing that instead.
