Hi,

I am trying to install Ubuntu on my P6T deluxe V2/ i7 960/ 6GB ram system. I want to install on a drive connected to the esata port driven by a Marvell 61xx controller.

The installation finds the dive and correctly reports it, accepts the partitioning information but crashes at 15% of the install process. I have tried this with several versions and types of Ubuntu. All the same!

I have even tried restoring a backup of the installation for my P5B/E6700 which worked perfectly on the same drive. This loads to the Ubuntu logo but then fails with lots of errors related to the drive.

I have board set to ACHI in the bios and I have tried setting it to IDE with no change. I think the problem may be related to the driver for the Marvell 61xx controller and have found some references to installations failing at 15% install - but no solutions.

Help!

Hi,

Is there really no one who has had this problem - or has any suggestions?
