View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gnome Shell quirk regarding curve-topped themes

The screenshots I've seen of Gnome Shell don't show anything similar, but having installed Gnome Shell this morning - initially sickened but now a convert! - I can only use window borders that are squared off - e.g. Legacy-Human but not Clearlooks etc. Where the curve is is messed up, it looks like Mutter has tried to curve things about five pixels lower than you'd expect.

I installed from Synaptic, accepting the offered dependencies etc, Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit on my pc, 32 bit on my laptop, same result) and added gnome-shell --replace to the startup programs and rebooted, hopefully that's all correct.

My top right panel is a bit spare, too - no volume icon for example, which I see in the Gnome site's screenshots. Not too fussed about this as I've put it on the AWN dock, but just as a possible indication of the installation not having gone quite right I ask about this.

Thanks for any input.
