Hi,

I have downloaded one of these movies, but when I try to play it with Totem-Xine, I receive this error message:


Totem could not play 'file:///home/nicola/Documenti/Progetto LINUX/Documenti UBUNTU/File multimediali di test/Video/sub_14239(V9).wmv'.
Video codec 'MS WMV 9 (win32)' is not handled. You might need to install additional plugins to be able to play some types of movies

I have tried with VLC too, but only the sound track is played, no images.

How can I (or how you have) play this type of WMV files with Ubuntu?:confused: :confused:

I had the problem with Xine and Kaffeine. I downloaded codecs from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html
and put the files in /usr/lib/win32
works fine for me.
(Ubuntu 6.06)
