View Full Version : [gnome] internet icon gone (please help)

hello ...

i have recently installed KDE in my ubuntu 10.04
but i am facing a problem :- My icon (in GENOME) from where i used to connect my DSL connection by just a click is gone (it is normally found left of volume icon in that panel) and i am not able to get it back. or i dont know how to get it back.... i have tried to change the content of "/etc/network/interfaces". but it doesnt have the write permission for user..

so every time i have to write 'sudo pppoeconf ' to connect my internet....
can any one please help me......

n also is there any icon (or short cut) in KDE to connect to internet quickly without the codes in terminal ... ???? please ....

yes i have solved da problem
type in terminal ......

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

n clear all the content there..... n save..... n restart....

then it will b there.........
