Has anyone from the North America region tried Free-to-Air satellite TV? It sounds sort of intriguing. I'm curious to know whether or not it would be better than my current VHF/UHF setup, but I'm a little bit skeptical. I was just wondering if anyone here has tried it, and if so, what do you think?

FTA content is usually junk.

Unfortunately, most American and Canadian channels are encrypted. The only useful use of FTA sattelite is to receive foreign TV Channels (Moroccan, Haitian, Senegal...)

If I am not mistaken you can get the BBC and Channel 4 from the UK. That would be enough for me as I would live to watch Doctor Who and The IT Crowd when the are first aired.

Yeah, all of this is basically what I was afraid of. I think I will probably be sticking to my VHF/UHF antenna for right now. Thanks for the input though, everyone!
