I have a few flash drives on my keychain that I lost the caps for. Should I worry about data loss with these or will i be fine?

They'll be fine. As long as you don't drop them in water or something, most flash drives will run fine.

I can't resist:
"Yes, if you don't keep the cap on, the data will leak out."
The thought came to me, and it was too funny not to share.

Seriously though, you shouldn't have any problems, unless the plug gets corroded or your pocket. Also, beware of the plug bending; I had a problem of the plug tearing off the circuit board.

I'd cap them with something just to keep dirt and debris out of the "business end" of the drives, or find somewhere besides your keyring to keep them.

Depends how dirty they're likely to get. If they're not going to be getting particularly nasty I wouldn't worry. You could clean up the contacts with some isopropyl alcohol if they do get messy.
