see some histry here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1551962

I have managed to get the 10.04 Live CD to boot on an HP All-in-one 200-5020, using "noacpi".

However I am unable to get wireless to work.

Would this be an issue with the PCI Express slot that the wireless card is installed in?

I did use 32-bit, should I be trying 64-bit?

If I install using "noacpi", does this mean that ACPI funstionality won't work on the machine once Ubuntu is installed?

Thanks for your help - trying to work out if I persist, or take the machine back to the shop (would prefer not - I like it - but I don't want to have to live with Win7).

I am going to bump this puppy, because I have the same problem.

I have a dual boot configuration, with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04. There is no problem with the wireless using Windows 7. But the wireless refuses to function using Ubuntu 10.04. (hard wired works fine in both.)

Any thoughts on what we might do to correct this little mind boggle?
