I know there is prob. a lucid forum but i could not find it. Im pretty new to Ubuntu or Linux in general for that matter and ive gotten along well untill now. Im on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 Gdesklets will not fun due to having python2.5 i found a solution so i downloaded python2.4 to fix this and wala cant figure out how to install package synaptic cant find it ive done everything i know to do to install this. i now have the package extracted to my desktop its just mocking me and i hate it. plz help me install this....ive seen forums talking about ./make or something of that sort i have no clue where to start when i see that any help would be great!!!!
