Serial 18250 Too much work for IRQ 19

Just upgraded to 10.04.1
Am receiving hundreds of times the message quoted in title.
OS loads afterwards but after a few mouse clicks everthing freezes.
Using Intel Pentium dual core.

I have similar error with 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition, but the computer does not freeze so far. Any idea how to debug this?
