I want to install the gnu-r package (r-base-core) but it has a dependence on tcl8.5 and tk8.5, which are not present in the Synaptic Package Manager. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 (with Pentium dual-core) running Ubuntu hardy. Can someone give me PRECISE instructions on how to find tcl8.5 and tk8.5 on the internet and how to install them? Thanks a lot in advance.
