View Full Version : [ubuntu] Missing Icon

August 21st, 2010, 06:40 PM

I have a slight problem with Ubuntu - it is fairly cosmetic but is a right pain - the Network Icon/Option is no longer available on my taskbar, it is the icon that you use to connect to any number of wifi networks etc, it used to sit beside the speakers volume icon.

I have looked in Administration and Preferences and cant find the option in order to embed it onto the taskbar.

Any pointers, options or things I can run....

I think that this refers to the Network Manager Icon,

it is ticked in my Start Up Programmes - but I cant see the icon, or if I look in any of the menu option it isn't available either..

7 people and no ray of sunshine.....

If you can locate it in Start Up Programmes try dragging it to the panel. Just worked for me.
