So I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop.
Created 2 accounts:

topdog
regularjoe

I was experimenting with the Gnome desktop, as topdog. I completely messed it up. The windows have no title bar. Cannot switch between workspaces. Cannot minimize a window. Etc.

Then I logged out and logged back in as regularjoe and that Gnome desktop is just fine. Just like the default Ubuntu 10.04 Gnome desktop should be.

So the big question - How can I restore the default Gnome desktop for topdog?

This (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/08/restore-default-gnome-settings-in.html) may help.
