Hi everyone,

I currently have a desktop with a PCMCIA port at the back.

I am looking for a way to extend that PCMCIA port if I can?

Maybe with something like a PCMCIA card at one end to plug into the desktop PCMCIA port, 3 or so metres of cable, and then a PCMCIA port at the other end so that I can plug PCMCIA cards into it.

Has such a think even been made? I tried googling, and found nothing

Can anyone help?

John

I'f you're handy with a soldering iron, you might be able to create an extension cord,
but it would probably be unusable because of RFI etc.

So no company has made a product like that?

Not that I know of, but that doesn't say much...

Out of curiosity, what are you going to use it for?

I have a wireless networking PCMCIA card for my desktop, and at the back of my computer its not woking so good..... so I need some way to get it out in the open, and I was wondering if an extension for a PCMCIA port had been made

An easier option would be to buy a cable that goes onto the wireless thing, and then the ariel is at the front - an external antenna or something it's called, and that should solve your problem.
