Just booted the Ubuntu 10.04 live cd on a dual process Intel X5680 box.
The 5680 is a 6 core cpu with 2 threads per core. From work on a different Nehalem box, I expected each core to show as 2 cpu's in procinfo.
Instead procinfo shows a total of 8 cpu's, that is 4 per X5680/
So I expected 24, would have understood 12, but 8 makes no sense to me.
