I have been a very proud user of ubuntu 9.10 Karmic . .. . . and i have set it up for my behaviours. so far,

and a week ago i just started on education.. and i know edubuntu is educational ubuntu enviroment.

and know i would like to ask.. what the main difference between those 2 systems?.

and is it easy to switch from ubuntu to edubuntu???

i have found those commands when i did some google research. but do they remove ubuntu or just switch? or what is gonna happen??

sudo apt-get install edubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get remove edubuntu desktop
sudo apt-get autoremove or.. do i need to fully install a new edubuntu ?? and then set it up again???

i don't have any dual boot.. only ubuntu 9.10 karmic...

Go to your favourite package management app and get edubuntu-desktop (apt:edubuntu-desktop) (edubuntu for UBUNTU) <-- note ; UBUNTU not KUBUNTU or LUBUNTUor XUBUNTU. Configuration should be automatic. You have nothing much to worry about.):P

Note the text on the package description - it is like an addon to your system; just like any other GNOME package.
