Is there any way that I can update 10.04 to Meerkat from CD rather than over the net.

I mean without having to go through the fresh install of Meerkat.

thanks

Maverick Meerkat is in alpha testing and is not recommended for stable production machines.

You are likely to run into all sorts of problems if you try and use it for regular computing.

I suggest you stick with your current setup and play around with Meekat as a LiveCD.

Just my opinion.

Pick up the "alternate" CDs of 10.10 from here (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/)

You can upgrade an existing system off the alternate CD. If you allow it, (and I suggest you do), it will download updated files from the Internet during the upgradation; if you choose not to (or disallow downloading of updates) it will upgrade your system off the files on the alternate CD.

Since it's an Alpha, I suggest that you allow updation from the Internet while upgrading.
