Does it seem like Firefox and Thunderbird are becoming more temperamental with each release? That is ... in addition to reinventing the wheel as far as layout goes especially with past two releases of Thunderbird. I have been an avid user of their products since they first emerged from the Netscape shell but here lately there seems to be a reverse trend developing...

Any thoughts on a good alternative to the IE alternative?

Edit: Not a big Opera fan either ...

I would definitely recommend Chromium. :)

I've been using Stainless, a Mac counteraction to Chrome, but I don't think it's available for Ubuntu though...
Maybe try out Chromium, but I'm still keeping it with Firefox for now ;)
