I recently moved from KDE (the latest developments didn't satisfy me) to Gnome, and I have found a little annoyance, but I cannot find the option to remove it...
That is, how to remove the temporary entry in the Gnome taskbar, that appears when you start some applications, with the text "Starting <app name>" (like "Starting Terminal").
I'd appreciate any help on the topic, searching the forums only gives unrelated results, and this feature seems to have enough names (launch notification, startup notification, etc) to get lost among random discussions.
