Hi,

I just found out that my thread (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=153527) has been moved to the jail. But I'm not going to ask to move it back, I was just wondering if I was the one who violated the guidelines.

If you haven't got the time to check that, I'll respect that, but I would not like (if I was the one) to do it again, so could someone tell me what I did wrong? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean it wasn't me?

While your original question seemed open enough; your subsequent replies to people with opposing views were defensive, argumentative, and hostile. The thread stopped being about asking people their views and why - as soon as someone disagreed with your bias - and became a thread where people were trashing each other's opinions.

When posting threads like this - asking people's opinions - it would be better for the health of the thread if you were to post questions about someone's reply rather than telling them they are wrong. Telling people you disagree with them is fine; telling someone that they are wrong (for having their opinion) is flamebait and will usually end up with the thread being locked/jailed/etc.

In this case, the entire thread had lost any purpose other than to call people names and attack everyone's opinion.
