I installed lucid 10.04 64 bit desktop through vmware on windows 7 64 bit, it was installed perfectly without any problem.
But when i restarted the system, it gave me the following screen while booting
(kernel not in sync, try using noapic )
I googled and found one link with an advice to use harddisk as IDE, which i did, but still the same problem.
I have deleted and installed ubuntu 2 times since then but same problem. i am not sure what is happening.
