I need something like this http://hartmann-b.de/index_en.html but for Ubuntu Linux.
I want to hook my analogue PSTN telephone cable into notebook modem and to use Ubuntu desktop to make/receive/record landline calls, to setup answering machine and to send/receive fax (actually fax is not necessary but it would be nice to also have it as an option).
Since win95 those softwares were handed out with modem drivers CD but now almost 15 years later I can't find simple solution for Linux.
Mgetty, Asterisk and them like software is to much for me... I'm looking for simple and effective GUI software.
VOIP and ISDN and such solutions are also coming up using Google and I don't need them.
What I need is SIMPLE GUI BASED CALL/VOICEMAIL/FAX PSTN SOFTWARE.
I'll be greatful for any suggestion!
