A few years ago when I was in high school I was addicted to French cinema, mainly because I was tired of the average Hollywood pics in which you can predict the ending in the first five minutes.

Unfortunately I lost touch with the people who would recommend me good French movies, so here I am posting a list of my favourites, and hoping you share yours with me too.

Most of this movies feature Audrey Tautou (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0851582/), which is one of my favourite actresses.

Has anyone else noticed that French movies tend to be very weird? Or is it just the ones I've seen?

Anything directed by Jean Luc Godard. He made a lot of quirky little movies about real life in France with practically nonexistent budgets.

Should get nods... Diva, La Cage Aus Folles (the American remake was one of the worst films I've ever seen).

Oh crap, I forgot La Femme Nikita (or just Nikita, 1990. Again, skip the American remake and watch this).
