View Full Version : [ubuntu] FireFox refuses to recognize Flash update

Although many people have had problems installing the Flash Player upgrade, my installation went smoothly. Unfortunately, Firefox refuses to recognize the upgrade--in existing user accounts only! I created a new account & Firefox picked the upgrade right up. I'm ready to reinstall Firefox or start with all new user accounts--but either option seems to be extreme overkill. Any ideas?

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Firefox 3.6.8
Adobe Flash Player 10.1 r82 (old accounts are stuck at 9.x)

Every way I could find. From the Adobe web site and using the command line. I also tried Flash-Aid as a plug-in, and the manual version of what Flash-aid does (from the programmer's web site). This is supposed to remove conflicting versions and install only the latest version. Still no joy.
