Thats what Im missing the most right now, I like having a way to watch how much memory a program is using and my total CPU usage. I did search and didnt find anything.

Hi,

Try: System > Administration > System Monitor

Other than using the System Monitor that ships with Ubuntu, the best alternative is a program called htop.

You can find it and install it from the Ubuntu Software Center; highly recommended in my opinion.

If you want to be able to see what programs are using what resources, then install htop within Ubuntu Software Center or running the command sudo apt-get install htop in a terminal. Then to run htop you just open a terminal and run the command htop. If you want to be able to kill processes, then you will have to start it using sudo htop.

Cheers,

Just like the Task Manager, its the System Monitor.
To do it, go to
System / Administration / System Monitor

and if you don't want to bother installing htop, top already ships, and will run inside of any terminal
