Graphics problems in Ubunut 10.04

Hello all - When downloading hi-res photos, Ubuntu displays many errors (both fonts and images). I don't know if it's a bug with Ubuntu or my graphics card, but it happens pretty regularly. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, my graphics card might be useful. It's an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 (Integrated). Sorry about that.

At the terminal type
lspci | grep VGA and post the results.
