I am posting here rather than the LoCo section for Washington because I figure I can get more view here.
I started a hacker group in Olympia Washington called HakOlyHak. I started the group because there is no strong cohesive tech community in Olympia. I hope for the group to grow and reach out to the rural towns that are too far from Seattle or Portland. So people can come to Olympia for HakOlyHak meetings to share, learn and create.
Our next meeting is August 28. We will be talking about the basics of Bash, the Linux command line, a quick recap of Defcon and Black Hat, and some image manipulation with python, GIMP, and ImageMagic.
