Hi all,

First of all sorry if repost as it seems to be a common problem, but I didn't find an answer solving my problem yet ...

Launching from Live/CD freezes

version 10.04 french and english version
MD5 checksums of both downloads ok
Machine starting w/out problem under Vista
Acer Aspire 5100
GC ATI Radeon Express 1100
Processor AMD Turion 64 x2 MobTech TL-50 1.6GHz
2Go de RAM

BIOS reset to defaults

Hitting a key on the first screen displays the previous installation screen but machine shuts down after a few seconds

Any help would be much appreciated ... Thanks ...

Radeon graphics cards can make some trouble for Ubuntu, also for 10.04.

I guess that the easy approach is trying again with 10.04.1, which will be released within a few days. It contains a lot of bug fixes compared to the present 10.04.0.

If still no progress with 10.04.1, you could take a look in the fora for Radeon Express problems. You might need to add some boot parameters.

Good luck.
