I am usually unable to boot in Ubuntu 10.04.
Say for eg : out of 10 times, it successfully boots for only 3 times, rest of the time I have to switch off my laptop and press the start button again.(I see blank Screen when unable to boot).

I am currently using Acer Aspire 4736.

thanks

Could you please tell us what graphics card you have installed.
Thanks.

Sure, its inbuilt one i.e. Intel GMA 4500.
Correspondingly, how do I know which version of drivers are installed for it.

Whats the Windows "Device Manager's" counterpart in Ubuntu.

thanks

You might want to look here regarding Intel chipsets and see if there is something that might work for you:

As far as finding information on your system, the 2 most common commands to run from the terminal are

lspci and
lshw

Hope this helps.
