Hello,
I am trying to figure out how I can simulate a keypress on a remote computer from my local computer. I was trying to use "xte" because it allows you to specify a DISPLAY but I cannot get it right. I tried :
xte -x 192.168.X.X:0.0 "key a" but got back something like "Unable to open display '192.168.X.X:0.0'"
Any ideas? Seems simple enough but I cannot find any doc anywhere on doing something like this. Works locally, just not on a remote computer.
cheers
Jay
