I've just installed Lucid Lynx today about 4 times with DVD's and USB's (the way Ubuntu's website tells me to) and every single time after I log in, the whole screen just freezes, and the only way to go back is a manual reboot. Yes I've tried all that CTRL+ALT+___ madness.
I don't know if this is related but each time I installed it and it told me to reboot, the DVD would pop up and the whole screen would be filled with this [#############] I/O error sector 504### (the #'s show changing numbers) and from there it would freeze again, only working with a manual reboot.
AND it freezes when I have the CD in and I'm using the "try" mode.
My system meets all requirements...help please?!
