I find that I like certain aspects of both Gnome and of KDE. I use them both interchangeably on my laptop but currently, GDM is my default display manager. This hasn't stopped KDE from working, but certain things such as Lancelot fail to function properly due to this.
I love KDE's plasma setup, and its very clean but very maneuverable menu system. I love gnomes robustness and stability. I like the fact that I can configure every aspect of the login screen if KDM is the default.I like how Gnome has a fully functioning UbuntuOne client.
I want the best of both worlds but not sure if its possible. Is there a way, to have KDM as my default login manager, but ensure that it switches to GDM if I choose to go into Gnome?
