cannot install

I have read your forum and I have checked my computer and CD drive. I installed Ubuntu 9.10 with no problems. I changed to another Linux OS but now I want to go back to Ubuntu 10.04. Every time I try to install at the very beginning I get
I/O Error
Error reading boot CD
Reboot
There is nothing wrong with the image I downloaded.
Could someone from this great forum of knowledge please point me in the right direction?

Perhaps there is something wrong with the cd. Have you burnt the image at slow speed to prevent errors?

Did you burn as a data CD or burn image??

If you have a single file on the CD then you burned a data CD.
