Short Answer : NO

Long Answer, No Netflix streaming requires Microsofts Silverlight and uses PlayReady DRM. there is no way yet to use Playready on Linux.

If you have a windows system in the house you can actually stream it from netflix to the windows system and then through your network to the Linux media center/computer.

Its a horridly choppy work around - but it works :-/

No.

You have these options for streaming Netflix: Stream it through Windows, either native Windows or Windows in VirtualBox. Stream it through Mac OS X. Stream it through an iPad. Stream it through Wii. Stream it through PS3. Stream it through XBox 360 Stream it through other streaming device (e.g., Roku box). Or don't stream at all. There is no native streaming of Netflix in Linux. You can't run it through Windows Firefox using Wine. You can't run it through Moonlight.

Or stream it through a Blu-ray player (Sony makes one that is both Wi-Fi and hard wire network enabled.)

I didn't know that. I guess that's the same principle they use for PS3 streaming, since you need a fake Blu-ray disc to do that anyway.

Well, I probably will just use Windows. I am building HTPC for someone, and I think he can't be without Netflix so I will just give him my XP license, I don't use it anyways.

This is how I do it... Our Sony BluRay player works great with Netflix, plus they promise a Hulu Plus plug-in available in a few months. Once we have that, who needs cable :)

The Cable TV model is dying.

I've never paid for a dvd player or a dvr. HTPC all the way.

We stopped paying for cable almost 1 year ago. Just some local news channel and few local HD channels from antenna + HTPC
