Hello everyone!
I'm quite new to GNU/Linux and have recently installed Ubuntu on my machine.
After installation I can log in correctly into my account and get to my desktop. Everything goes well but somehow after a few time my screen turns black and it gives me no response anymore even if I move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard.:(
I'm guessing that the problem is coming from my video card.
Here is my graphic card information:
Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)
If anyone can please help me find a solution I would really appreciate and be grateful.
Thanks!

your issue reads as if you are affected by this bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/541492). Have a read - if it is, the solution is in the description of the bug.
