Amazingly, Ubuntu Live cds still don't support LVM partitions.

I've to use the Ubuntu Alternate CD and that, if I go for a command-line system install, leaves me with no wireless-tools and/or wpasupplicant.

Why were they not included on the base installment ?

And I always have problems after installing, even with ubuntu 9
Without wireless network I try to apt-get using alternate cd but the devices, both dvd-rom and cd-rw can't read it( i/o error )
Checked sources.list, update and apt-cdrom

The burned cd is verbatim quality cdr was tested using alternate cdboot option, and in other PC scanned without errors.

Unexpectedly the device reads, after 3 days attempting it, and wireless-tools and wpasupplicant are finally installed.
