Is it possible to put fedora on a 10 year old desktop what year is available?

I think you are looking for the Fedora community.

However with ubuntu 10.04 I installed it this weekend on a P3 for my youngest to break. Works fine. It won't win any speed competitions, but it's pretty solid considering. Xubuntu I understand would make it more peppy, but I'm too lazy to download a different distro for the home.

I have Ubuntu running on some old PIV boxes .. but I put Mint on an old Celeron (I mean OLD) and it works .. slow as ..it, but it works. The key is MEMORY .. max out the board (the Celeron went to 768mb).
