Greetings all,
I noticed there's not much information anywhere in the forums (and not a great deal online for that matter) on modifying or customizing the Plymouth themes included with Ubuntu 10.04.
If you are like me, you are never content with default installs and possess an obsessive need to control and customize everything. Fortunately, I have found some useful resources and would like to share them.
To create a very basic theme (wallpaper only)and for some basic tips:

For an in-depth manual & advanced techniques:

Enjoy!:D
