Just upgraded Ubuntu Studio 9.10 to 10.04 and noticed that there is no longer the xsplash screen and wondering whether this is done on purpose or whether this is an installation problem. I did not see any error messages during the upgrade process either.

Any comments?

Hi Dino99,

Thanks for the response. When I boot up now, I simply get the Grub menu and after that nothing on the screen for sometime and then get presented with the login screen. Is this how it is meant to work under 10.04?

Not that I am particularly concerned about splash screens but since I did a upgrade from 9.10 I want to make sure that 10.04 is doing what it is supposed to do.

Thanks.
