Hi,
I am a new Ubuntu user and recently built an Ubuntu System. The configuration of my system is i7 processor, Gigabyte Motherboard and Gigabyte Radeon HD4550 Graphics card. I am using Ubuntu 64 bit, version 10.0.4. Also, I have installed the graphics card driver from the AMD website. However, I am facing following two issues:-
1) Whenever I watch video Youtube, the video runs okay in the small window but when I enlarge the window, the video stops or becomes very slow.
2) The second issue I am facing is related to screen scrolls. The scrolls I do on any web page are very jerky and not smooth.
Only unusual thing I have noticed so fas is that I seen "ATI Catalyst Control Center" twice in my System -> Administration.
Is there any thing I could do to fix this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
