Icecast -- http://www.icecast.org/
Gnump3D -- http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/ http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Gnump3DServer
MPD -- http://www.musicpd.org/ , and there are numerous clients to support it, such as Glurp and GMPC.

Try this. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=22170. It's for KDE though, so dunno if it would work on Ubuntu.

For practical advice, you might PM jimmyjazz - he runs a radio station like this called "Wavy Radio" :)

The easiest for me was shoutcast
www.shoutcast.com
I had that up and running in about 20 mins
I also have a jinzora server for my close friends but that one was a little harder for me to set up. ](*,)

Yeah, I had one set up not too long ago. Shoutcast is way easier to set up. I also has the icecast version running.
