i know this is probly the roung tread to ask this but idk where else to go im useing ubuntu 10.04 and i cant seam to run any exe/start ups from disks like antivirus and printer driver (mine isnt in the defualt list) PLS HELP ='( ive been fighting with this for over 3hrs

Please do not highjack thread. You issues are not directly related to this thread. It gets confusing on who we are resonding to, If you want help please start your own thread.
Windows .exe programs do not run in Linux (some may run in wine), but you should not have to install any drivers with linux. Adn you really do not need antivirus but can install software from system, administrations, synaptic package manager.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Some programs will run in Wine. Here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine) is the community wiki page for it.

You will be able to install it from the software center by doing the following:


open the software center
Type wine and install 'wine'
